This is the plain-English version of how this website handles your details, which is also the only version. The short answer: we collect very little, we sell nothing, and everything we do collect is something you typed in yourself.
Who we are
Thyme for a Taste, Chef Linda Orcutt’s cooking business in Windsor, Colorado. Our website address is https://thymeforataste.com. You can reach us any time at lindacorcutt@gmail.com.
What we collect, and why
The waiting list. If you join the Cooking Club waiting list, we keep the one thing you gave us: your email address. It is stored on this website and with MailerLite, the service that sends our emails, and it is used to tell you about the club and nothing else. Joining is instant, every email has an unsubscribe, and unsubscribing removes you.
The contact form. If you write to us through the contact form, we keep what you wrote and the details you chose to include, so we can reply. That is the only thing they are used for.
The Cooking Club members area. Members sign in at members.thymeforataste.com. There we keep your email address and the standing of your membership. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment provider: your card number never touches our website and we never see it. Stripe’s own privacy policy is at https://stripe.com/privacy. Membership emails (sign-in links, receipts, the new month) are sent through our email providers and go only to you.
What we do not collect
This site runs no analytics and no advertising trackers. We do not buy lists, sell lists, or share your address with anyone beyond the services named above that do the work: our website host, MailerLite for email, and Stripe for payments.
Cookies
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress, which the site is built on, sets a small number of technical cookies for people who sign in to edit the site, and a temporary one if you leave a comment, so you do not have to retype your name. The members area sets one cookie whose only job is to keep you signed in.
The forms on this site are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which sets its own cookie to tell people from bots. Google’s privacy policy, at https://policies.google.com/privacy, applies to that.
Comments and embedded content
If you leave a comment on an event post, we keep the comment and the details you entered with it, and your IP address is recorded to help catch spam. Pages on this site may embed content from other websites (a map, for example); that content behaves as if you had visited the other website directly.
How long we keep things
Waiting-list and member email addresses are kept while you are on the list or in the club, and go when you do. Contact-form messages are kept for as long as the conversation needs. Comments stay with their posts.
Your rights
Ask, and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, except for anything we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons (Stripe keeps payment records, for example). One email to lindacorcutt@gmail.com does it.
Changes
If this policy ever changes in a way that matters, the change appears here, dated. This version: September 2026.
